Wild Card

The boat that started it all. One of the most popular backpacker crossings between Panama and Colombia for over fifteen years.

Built for the crossing

Weighing 40 tonnes, Wild Card gives you a much less bumpy ride than smaller fibreglass or wooden sailboats. She has a large deck with an awning, ideal for lounging while anchored in the islands.

Twenty passengers means there’s always a good mix of personalities and a fun atmosphere on board. The trip is led by Captain Daniel and his team: highly experienced, dedicated to making sure everyone has an amazing time, and always safety first.

Wild Card holds a full commercial licence and passes all safety requirements and inspections by the regulating authorities. And yes, there’s a friendly dog on the crew.

Meet your captains

Every trip is led by one of our two captains. They pick the islands, read the weather and know where the best snorkel spots are.

Wild Card

Captain Daniel

Daniel skippers Wild Card, our 60-foot steel original. Calm at the helm and quick with a joke, he makes sure the crossing is safe and the music is on the moment the anchor drops.

Sovereign Grace

Captain Manu

Manu runs Sovereign Grace, the big sister at 74 feet. When he’s not at the helm you’ll find him in the galley, and yes, those are dinner. Expect long days in the water and the best seafood of your trip.

Amazing!!!

“This was the best experience ever!!! I loved every single minute of it. The crew of the Sovereign Grace were so professional and helpful the whole entire way. The islands were beautiful, the food was amazing, and the boat was just such a special experience in itself. I’ll never forget it!!”

Love the Sovereign Grace!!

“Wow! What an experience on the Sovereign Grace! It really exceeded my already high expectations! Big shout out to Lindsay, Manu and Niko who really made this experience for us! If you want a fun and social experience with lots of really great food and of course beautiful scenery then I couldn’t recommend the Sovereign Grace enough. Even as a solo traveller I felt like I became part of a family on the boat.”
